Welcome to Moomers Ice Cream

Moomers Homemade Ice Cream grew from a love for ice cream and an idea for a small family business - an idea that kept emerging through Nancy's daily life as a wife, mother of 4, and first-grade teacher. The ideas flowed for 3 years before a decision was made to "pursue"

Living on a dairy farm gave Moomers a natural location. Nancy and Bob spent one and a half years designing the building and getting all the necessary permits. Bob spent 1 year building the building while Nancy learned about making ice cream and all the possible menu items. Daily conversations for this teacher and farmer/builder centered around this new business. The hope was to provide a unique product in a country atmosphere to share the world of agriculture with others, employ local young adults and to provide a family oriented place to enjoy with family and friends.

In April of 1998, the doors opened. By taking "baby steps" with this ice cream adventure, an adventure based on common sense Moomers has continued a steady growth in the retail business as well as wholesale. It has grown in many directions and far beyond our first thoughts.
